I ran across a list of cool thingies that are still doable in ATX while social distancing, wearing a mask,  washing / sanitizing your hands and all the COVID-19 precautions. Thrillist put these suggestions out there. Have some fun in ATX with the goal of staying happy & healthy. Take care of each other! 
  • Alama Drafthouse - Slaughter Lane location open. New House Rules

  • Barton Hills Farms Pumpkin Patch 118-acre farm in Bastrop just 30 miles outside downtown Austin. Opens October 3  with dates in October & November.
  • Visit the Blanton Museum of Art  200 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Reserve tickets online.
  • Watch the Bats South Congress Avenue bridge 
  • Dance Party at home with DJ Mel - Saturday nights from 6p-10p. Bust a move in your living room w/ some frosty beverages and your favorite quarantine peeps. 
  • Make a reservation for a Greenbelt visit  Barton Creek and Bull Creek Greenbelts with 12 miles of gorgeous hiking trails, creek beds and waterfalls are open for exploring.
  • Run, Bike or Walk on Lady Bird Lake 10-mile Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail around Lady Bird Lake that's located in the heart of downtown Austin.
  • Get on Lady Bird Lake Check local rentals for a paddle board, kayak, canoe, or inner tube. 
  • Catch a sunset on Mt. Bonnell The 775-foot peak is considered the highest point in Austin and looks over Lake Travis and the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
  • Oktoberfest-themed tour of Austin’s breweries North ATX: Austin Beerworks, Celis, Circle, and Adelbert’s; in Central Austin, stop by Hi Sign, Live Oak, and Pinthouse Pizza East ATX: Friends and Allies, Hops & Grain, Blue Owl, Lazarus, Zilker Brewing, and Austin EastcidersSouth Austin: The ABGB, Independence, & St. Elmo’s.For a day drive (or ambitious bike ride): Jester King, 12 Fox, and Vista BrewingFeelin' safe at home: Create-your-own six-pack at HEB, and enjoy.
