Travis County reports first death of a resident from COVID-19

AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- A Travis County resident has died from the coronavirus, officials announced Friday afternoon. Austin Public Health said the patient, a woman over the age of 70 with underlying health conditions, passed away."We send our most sincere condolences to the patient’s family and friends," said Stephanie Hayden, Director of Austin Public Health. "Everyone must continue to do their part to protect our community and our loved ones."

Thursday, officials in Comal County reported the death of a 44-year old New Braunfels resident who had been receiving treatment in Austin at Ascension Seton Medical Center. Friday marks the first death for a Travis County resident due to COVID-19. More here on Talk1370.com.
