Sean Mack's movie review: "Palm Springs"

By Mix 94.7

Remember new movies?  Most of us have spent our time in quarantine revisiting old flicks since we can’t go to the local movie theater.  However, there have been occasional new movies that have made their way into our living rooms.  One such movie is now available on Hulu, “Palm Springs”.

Do you feel like every day is the same these days?  Well you’re not alone!  Andy Samberg stars in this romantic comedy as Nyles, a man who is forced to relive the same day over and over(think Groundhog Day) after wandering into a cave in the middle of the desert.  The day is November 9th and Nyles is attending a wedding-where he meets Sarah, the maid of honor for her sister’s nuptials.  She accidentally ends up joining him in the perpetual stoppage of time.  So now what?  This is a great movie for these times, where every day feels kinda the same and they all blend together.  What do you do to stay busy?  Stay happy?  And what does it all mean?  All these topics are covered.  The movie is equal parts sweet and funny and probably would have been one of the big box office hits if it were in theaters.  Instead, you can watch it at home!
