The excitement surrounding High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star Olivia Rodrigo's break into the pop world continues, with her hit single "driver's license" receiving its own sketch on this past weekend's Saturday Night Live.
"DRIVERS LICENSE SNL SKETCH IS THE BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER IM SHAKING,” Olivia tweeted in all caps after the sketch was broadcast.

On what just so happened to be the singer's 18th birthday, cast members Kenan Thompson, Beck Bennett, Pete Davidson, Alex Moffat, Mikey Day, Bowen Yang, Kate McKinnon, and the night's host Regé-Jean Page deeply and emotionally explained the meaning, then cry-sang her hit while in a pool hall.
"I got my driver's license 55 years ago, why is this hitting me so hard," asked McKinnon as the song played and the rest of the cast sang along.
If you follow the breakout star on her social channels, you would have also seen Rodrigo's videos of her watching the skit in her Instagram Story, literally "losing her mind" while the event was unfolding.
This wasn't the first unlikely-but-awesome tribute to the Taylor Swift-approved track. blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and his Pop-punk protegé jxdn recently put their own spin on the song and thanked her "for making the beautiful song" saying they both "fw it so much."
Proving just how hard it is to escape its catchy grasp, Friends star Monica... err.. Courteney Cox also provided her own rendition of the heartbreaking love song. Sitting at a piano, Cox and her musician friend Joel Taylor on the guitar covered the track and captioned an Instagram post saying, "even my dogs love this song,"
