Alice Cooper may be one of the original shock rockers who has sung about things like “Devil’s Food,” but he isn’t shy about his Christian faith.
On Sunday, Cooper and his wife made a surprise appearance at Parkside Church in Chagrin Falls, OH. He was invited by the pastor, who says he and the rock & roll hall of famer are friends.
“It was an interesting Sunday,” Alistair Begg told Fox 8. “We get lots of guests but it was fun to be able to introduce this particular couple.”
Cooper spoke to the congregation with his wife, Sheryl, by his side. He talked about being sober for nearly four decades and how he found his way back to God.
"I went as far away from the church as I could and of course I became an alcoholic; I became a drug addict and Sheryl lived through that with me," Cooper said.
The 71-year-old just released a new album with Hollywood Vampires and is embarking on a solo tour with Halestorm. It begins tonight (Wednesday) in Allentown, PA and wraps up November 29th in Prior Lake, MN. Get the full list of dates here.
