Time to add yet another history-making accomplishment to the resume of Billie Eilish.
The GRAMMY-nominated singer has been tapped to write and perform the theme song for the upcoming James Bond film, No Time to Die. This makes her the youngest artist ever to write and record a 007 theme.
Eilish has written the song with her brother FINNEAS, continuing the pair’s impressive success streak. Eilish is nominated for 6 GRAMMY Awards for the 2020 ceremony, including nominations in the top 4 categories. That makes her the youngest artist ever to do that as well. She’s also the first artist born in the 2000s to land at number one on the Billboard chart.
Speculation has been mounting over the past few days that Eilish would be performing the upcoming theme. She’ll follow in the footsteps of Sam Smith who provided the theme for 2015’s Spectre, and Adele who did the theme for 2012’s Skyfall.
No Time to Die is the 25th film in the James Bond series. It’s due out in theaters on April 2.
