Unless you’ve had your earbuds turned up too loud, you know Green Day is planning one of the biggest rock tours of all-time. They’re joining forces with Weezer and Fall Out Boy for the HELLA MEGA tour next summer.
Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool are already warming up for the gigs with an appearance on late night TV and an intimate show at the Whisky in West Hollywood.
During their stop on the Sunset Strip, Green Day gave their new song “Father of All…” its live debut, and ran through a string of fan favorites like “American Idiot,” “Brain Stew,” and “Bang Bang,” but they kept things interesting by NOT playing the song they’ve played more than any other during their career.
According to setlist.fm, there are five songs from Green Day’s breakthrough smash album Dookie among their top 10 most-performed of all-time. 1997’s Nimrod is also well-represented, but songs from American Idiot and newer albums haven’t been around long enough to catch up and probably never well.
So what song has Green Day performed the most, at least during their mainstream years? Check out the countdown below.
