182 + 21 = mind-blowing.
Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus mashed up the lyrics to one of his band’s songs with one from Twenty One Pilots as if his brain was running an algorithm.
The meter of his combination of “All the Small Things” and “Chlorine” works perfectly, and he posted the brilliant results on Twitter.
Now if we could get the two bands in the studio together to record the mash-up, then we’d have something.
Hoppus spends a lot of time on social media and recently opened up to fans about the power of music and what it means to him. The bassist/singer said the best part is the live interaction on-stage.
"Words we wrote in a garage or studio or an idea scribbled down in the middle of the night, or written in the depths of self-doubt or despair," Hoppus began. "To sing songs and have those songs sung back to us. A shared experience between everyone. It's amazing to see you smiling and laughing."
Blink-182 spent the summer on tour playing Enema of the State in its entirety in honor of their breakthrough album's 20th anniversary.
