Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie is an avid metal fan. Along with having a tattoo inspired by hardcore band Every Time I Die (yes, for real) the iconic frontman also dabbles in writing heavy songs in his free time (again, for real).

In one of his almost daily livestreams, Brendon previously shared a metal version of Vices & Virtues track “The Calendar.” The unexpectedly brutal redo further proved how serious he is about his rock fandom, and apparently paved the way for even more heavy jams from the alternative / pop musician.

Brendon has planned to take a break from writing for the rest of 2019, and assured during a recent livestream that this new song doesn’t count as working. A writing session fueled by being drunk and stoned put his writing talents to the perfect use: another metal song.

“Dude, that’s not work,” he explained after giving a quick preview of the song. “That’s literally me stoned and drunk in my room, sitting in this room and going, ‘Oh, let me grab a guitar real quick.’” Listen to the amazing new track in the video above.
