Blink-182 EP Already Planned After New Album Release

Travis Barker dropped a surprise in a new interview

Blink-182 fans have been patiently awaiting the release of the band’s eighth studio album, and now they may have something else to wait for. It appears there’s enough music for two releases this year.

Drummer Travis Barker told influencer Kerwin Frost that the band has recorded a song with rapper Lil Uzi Vert and Pharrell Williams that will not appear on the LP, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t going to hear it.

“It’s gonna come out on probably the EP that happens later this year,” Barker said. “But Blink just did a song with Uzi that’s the most mind-blowing thing ever – with Pharrell.”

“So you have these things now where like, where Uzi is out at Pharrell’s studio and Pharrell goes ‘yo I just did this song with Blink’, and Uzi is like ‘I gotta get on that.’ So it’s almost coming full circle, but maybe it’s not coming full circle in rock – it’s actually affecting a whole other genre of music.”

Blink-182 had already been expanding its musical comfort zone on tour this summer with Lil Wayne. The new album still doesn’t have an official title or a release date, but the band did just share the third single “Happy Days.”
