In her post the “Cry Pretty” singer shares, “I realize we’re in the middle of a summer heatwave, but I couldn’t wait to tell you… at long last, my very first Christmas album #MyGift is coming September 25! So much love has gone into this and I cannot wait to share it with you!”

Carrie makes Christmas in July come to life as she shares the IGTV video that details behind-the-scenes moments during the making of My Gift. Underwood teases certain classic holiday hits that she will be singing on the album such as, “Little Drummer Boy.” She also explains where the title of the album came from and that she’d like to share her love of music as a gift to all of her listeners and Jesus.

While detailing the process of recording an album during the pandemic Carrie says, “now more than ever we all need to focus on what Christmas is about and rely more on our family. Even though it has been a tough year sometimes I feel like the greatest realizations can come in the worst times or the most stressful times and it makes you more thankful for the things you do have.”
