A celebration of women and the best of Country music, the 2019 CMA Awards are coming in hot. Carrie Underwood will be joined by living legends Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire as they host the 53rd edition of the awards live from Nashville this November. We already knew there was a focus on females, and now we know the nominees.

Leading with the ladies, Carrie Underwood herself is nominated for Album of the Year and beyond, with Cry Pretty facing off against Center Point Road by Thomas Rhett, the self-titled album from Dan + Shay, Desperate Man from Eric Church, and GIRL by Maren Morris.

Underwood is also nominated for Entertainer of the Year, her first nomination in the category since 2016. The top category of the night also includes Garth Brooks, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, and last year's winner, Keith Urban.

For New Artist of the Year, Ashley McBryde and Carly Pearce continue their stellar rise, competing in the category against Cody Johnson, Midland, and Mogran Wallen.

Lil Nas X is heading to the CMAs. The "Old Town Road" singer is nominated for Musical Event of the Year along with veterans like Books & Dunn, Garth Brooks, and Blake Shelton. The song once thought to not be Country enough, is now a part of Nashville's biggest night.
