Dolly Parton is getting ready to market her signature blonde mane to the masses.
The country music legend recently signed an overall deal with IMG to start her own fashion empire, and now, she’s revealed it will also include a line of synthetic wigs.
“I’m going to do it. I’m going to get there,” the 73-year-old told Elle. “It’s one of my dreams — the makeup, hair, and wigs, clothes, all of that sort of thing.”
Known for her big beautiful blonde bouffant, the “9 to 5” singer says hair has always been her thing - whether it's her real tresses or a wig.
“I don’t always wear them in my daily life, but I always still poof up my hair,” she added. “I still like to have that flashy hair.”
And while she hasn’t revealed the name of the collection or when it might be available, the GRAMMY winner hopes her fans will love the wigs as much as she does.
She continued, “Wigs are just so handy. I’m so busy, and I have so many choices. I never have a bad hair day, and that’s a good thing.”
The anthology series will showcase the inspirations and stories behind many of Parton’s biggest hits via scripted episodes varying in tone from love stories to westerns, dramas and comedies.
Parton will narrate, produce and appear in each episode which will also feature some of her new and classic songs.
The project is a dream come true for the songstress who has released 47 solo studio albums.
“All my life, I’ve felt my songs tell such stories,” she said. “I’ve always dreamed about being able to make them into movies.”
Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings premieres November 22nd on Netflix.
