Kane Brown is offering up a remix of his song “Cool Again” with a hand from Nelly.
The “Hot In Herre” rapper gave fans a sneak preview of the new collaboration in a video posted to Instagram.
“Me and lil bro @kanebrown_music…!!! After video shoot…! We both lit…!! New @kanebrown_music ft @nelly,” he captioned the post.
Nelly said that “Cool Again” is “one of the dopest tracks that I’ve down so far.” He also revealed he’s among the myriad of guests to take part in Brown’s genre-bending upcoming EP as Swae Lee, H.E.R., and Khalid are all reportedly set as guests.
“Cool Again” was originally released back in April and will be a part of Kane Brown’s upcoming EP. The EP is slated for a 2020 release, but no official date has been given. Brown wrote the song before the COVID-19 pandemic.
It’s not the first song he’s released in quarantine as earlier in June Brown shared a new song called “Worldwide Beautiful.”
In an effort to “bring us together” during these times of civil unrest, Brown promised to donate all proceeds from the song to the Boys and Girls Club of America helping champion social justice and equality for millions of young people.
The “Cool Again” remix isn’t the first time Nelly has taken part in a country collaboration. Back in 2003, he linked up with Tim McGraw for the crossover his “Over and Over,” which peaked at number three on the charts.
In 2013, he hooked up with Florida Georgia Line on their hit “Cruise,” peaking at the number four position.
