Kelsea Ballerini is tweeting the high road in response to the CMA Awards excluding her from every nomination list. The Country star posted a message glowing with equal parts resilience and patience.
“Last time this happened, I wrote homecoming queen the next day about the feeling. something beautiful will undoubtedly come from the current disappointment,” the “This Feeling” singer told her followers. “nonetheless, congratulations to my friends & peers that got nominations. proud to be a part of the country family, always.”
The 2020 CMA Awards nominations were announced Tuesday morning, and fans quickly noticed Ballerini’s absence from the list. She has been nominated as Female Vocalist of the Year five years running. Even Kane Brown took notice of the snub and commented with his own words of wisdom. “Hold your head up 🤟🏽”
Soon other artists like Morgan Evans, Kelleigh Bannen and Madeline Merlo were tweeting their support for the singer’s work.
Even the Country Music Television Twitter handle expressed support for Ballerini tweeting, “Your music is beautiful and will stand the test of time. We love what you've created and what you will create from this. ❤️”
It’s hard to imagine the awards show wasn’t impressed with the singer’s recent work. Ballerini recently released the music video for her single "Hole in the Bottle," off of her third studio album, Kelsea. Who wouldn’t nominate an artist’s dancing around a mansion with a glass of wine?
The 2020 CMA Awards kick off at 8PM ET on ABC, November 11.
