Miranda Lambert and husband Brendan McLoughlin spent part of the weekend enjoying summer and time with each other, but apparently that bothered someone. Not that Miranda gave a darn.
The singer posted a video of Brendan cooking fried chicken outside while quoting the lyrics to her fast-paced and frolicking new song “Locomotive.”
“I’m sweet tea sippin’ on the front porch sittin’ while my hubby fries chicken and I’m pickin’ these straaangs,” Lambert wrote before teasing a network performance of the song.
Most commenters loved it, but one was simply miserable. He wrote: “It won’t last,” presumably referring to the relationship. But Miranda brushed off the comment with: “Sure won't! I’m gonna eat every piece of it! Can’t waste chicken!”
Lambert and McLoughlin have been married since 2018, but didn’t tell the world until February. The country star also recently used her husband to promote her other new song “It All Comes Out in the Wash.” Lambert posted a teaser featuring the NYPD officer doing some shirtless laundry.
Lambert’s forthcoming upcoming album will be the first from Lambert as a solo artist since The Weight of These Wings was released in 2016. The new LP is due sometime before the end of the year.
