During Wednesday’s 2020 CMT Music Awards, Noah Cyrus showed us that her musical roots not only allow her to be a great Pop artist but also that she knows how to use her vocal chops to sing a few Country tunes too.

Alongside Jimmie Allen, the 20-year-old performed the song “This Is Us.” However, Noah added a little glitz and traditional Cyrus flare to the whole performance by debuting a revealingly sheer, mesh, bedazzled bodysuit. The young star rocked the look with white thigh-high boots, white gloves, and an oversized white cowboy hat. Of course, every inch of the sparse look was studded in glittering rhinestones.

Many fans took to Twitter after Cyrus performed to share their much-needed opinions on Noah’s look. While some felt the outfit was too revealing others applauded her confidence.

Negativity flowed after someone tweeted, “Does Noah Cyrus know this is Country music and they don’t wear that type of outfit?” Someone else chimed in saying, "I know this is 2020 and anything goes now, but c’mon @CMT I lost so much respect for you letting @noahcyrus perform wearing practically nothing at all. That was so inappropriate and NOT at all what women should be representing!!!"

From a more positive angle another fan tweeted, "Everyone is heated about @noahcyrus outfit tonight but honestly I loved it and wish I had that kind of confidence.” Another viewer excitedly shared, “OKAY @JimmieAllen & @noahcyrus win for OUTFITS of the night!!!”

While the look may have been shocking for the CMT Awards, we have to admit it’s nothing we’ve never seen before. It’s 2020, Lady Gaga has been serving us "wild" looks since 2008. At this point, we’ve seen it all and we’ve definitely stopped clutching our pearls. We're here for female artists wearing what they want.
