Want to take a shot with Old Dominion?
That’s exactly what you can do tonight as the country group will be hosting a special livestream. The band will be joined by actor Charles Esten from the Netflix series Outer Banks.
You can watch Old Dominion’s livestream right here, and on Facebook beginning at 5PM ET on Tuesday May 26.
During their time in quarantine, the band has been getting together over video conference for hilarious conversation. Last week, the brought on Dylan Larkin of the Detroit Red Wings, where they answered fan questions, talked about their dogs, and their drink of choice.
Old Dominion released their self-titled album back in October, a songwriting process that was a few years in the making.
“We’ve said this before but, I think with this album we kind of feel like it sounds the most like a band,” guitarist Trevor Rosen said at the time. “Not just a collection of songs but it sounds like five guys that play music every day for years and years together, intentionally made this record. So it sounded the most like us of any of the albums so far, so it felt like a good time to self-title it.”
While it may be unconventional for a band to have their third album be self-titled, the group’s collective output was appropriate in naming it after themselves in this scenario.
“When it came down to it, I don’t know, it just kind of felt like the right time to make a switch,” Brad Tursi explained. “We’re very proud of this album. Just kind of put our name on it and that’s it.”
The band was set to support Kenny Chesney on his 2020 Chillaxification Tour, but that has been postponed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
