Dan + Shay were on the guest list Monday night, attending the wedding of Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin. At first it seems like an unlikely inclusion for the exclusive event, but the truth is that the Country duo has long been friends with the “Love Yourself” singer and his wife. From writing together before Bieber’s last album, to sharing Scooter Braun as a manager, this friendship is nothing new.
Fast-forward a few days and it seems Dan + Shay are more than just wedding guests this week, they are also collaborators with Bieber, inviting him along for their new song, “10,000 Hours.” Together the three blend beautifully for a ballad about learning their way into love. They don’t come more first dance ready than this, with a trio of stellar voices and a sincere story about showing you care.
“10,000 Hours” is a RADIO.COM World Premiere, which means you can hear it here and stream it on the RADIO.COM app all throughout the day on Friday October 4.
“’10,000 Hours’ is about spending a lifetime, learning and loving your significant other,” explains Dan Smyers. “This song is extra special to Shay and I, because we wrote it about our beautiful wives, Abby and Hannah.”
“It was cool to be able to collaborate with our friend Justin Bieber because he’s in that same boat. He just recently got married to his wife Hailey” adds Shay Mooney. “This song means a lot to all of us, and we hope that this song resonates as much to our fans as it does to us.”
Since releasing their self-titled third studio album in 2018, Dan + Shay have made three visits to the Top 40 chart, and picked up a GRAMMY Award for Best Country Duo Group Performance. “10,000 Hours” is the first look at the duo’s upcoming fourth album.
