Even the "Star Wars" franchise actors are divided over the final “Star Wars” film.
“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” hit theaters on Friday, and fans and actors alike have their polarizing opinions about the end of the franchise. Jake Cannavale, who plays a supporting role in Disney+’s “The Mandalorian,” has taken to social media to unleash his true feelings.
In a series of expletive-laden Instagram stories, Cannavale ranted about how he feels about the final film, reports the New York Post. “Rise of Skywalker was hands down the worst Star Wars movie,” he writes before referring to the film as an “absolute [expletive] failure.”
He continues, “There were more plot holes than there was plot.” The posts, which expire after 24 hours on the app, are no longer available for viewing.
Other reactions were much of the same opinions, with some believing that the film was “the most convoluted Star Wars.”
However, there were some fans who could only rave about the film, not seeing any of the negative points that many fans tried to make.
“One word: EPIC!,” a user writes. “A satisfying crowd pleasing adventure, and a fitting end to the saga! My favorite of the three! Can’t wait to see it again!”
Still, the reaction from Cannavale seems to be one of the most heated of the final film opinions. Cannavale plays a character named Toro Calican in one episode of “The Mandalorian,” launched in November by Disney.
