Could they be any cuter?
A Colorado photographer turned her obsession with the classic sitcom "Friends" into the most adorable photoshoot for six newborn babies.
Mandy Penn, who recently began photographing newborns, got the idea for the Must-See-TV photo shoot after her good friend became pregnant with twins.
"My friend Alli Coats was pregnant with twins and she's obsessed with Friends too... [I asked her] 'Oh my gosh, how fun would it be to do a Rachel and Monica photoshoot?'" Penn told “Good Morning America.” "We got together and started thinking of ideas."
Right away they knew they needed to recreate the iconic orange couch from the show’s opening theme.
"I reached out to another friend who upholsters furniture, and she surprised me with [a custom] 'Friends' couch that she built from scratch!" Penn added. "She's phenomenal ... I was almost in tears."
With her pal’s twins on board, Penn then put out a call for four more babies so they’d have all six roles (Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey) represented.
Once the cast was assembled, Penn gathered up more props such as the legendary turkey head and Rachel’s infamous Princess Leia buns.
"I'm not going to lie to you, when all six babies were on that couch, I actually shed a tear," Penn told Popsugar. "It's just one of those things — when I put my passion into something, it does exactly what I want it to do, and it comes together exactly how I pictured it.”
The shoot took just under three hours and occurred on March 12th, prior to Colorado issuing any social distancing mandates.
Delighted with the results, Penn shared the images on social media in hopes of spreading much-needed joy during the coronavirus pandemic. Mission accomplished!
The precious newborn shoot comes after it was revealed production on the upcoming “Friends” reunion had to be delayed due to the virus.
The HBO Max special was supposed to film at the end of March, but now the taping has been pushed back at least until May.
