Alex Trebek is ready to share his words of wisdom to the world.
While continuing his battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, the “Jeopardy!” host has penned his first autobiography, which will be released this summer.
Entitled “The Answer Is…: Reflections on My Life,” the memoir is due out on July 21st, the day before his 80th birthday.
Trebek was motivated to tell his story after revealing his cancer diagnosis last year and receiving an outpouring of love and support from his millions of fans.
“I want people to know a little more about the person they have been cheering on for the past year,” Trebek writes in the book, according to Simon & Schuster.
In keeping with the legendary game show’s format, each chapter will be titled in the form of a question and will also include never-before-seen photos of Trebek through the years.
Filled with personal anecdotes, the memoir will cover topics such as “marriage, parenthood, education, success, spirituality, and philanthropy.”
In addition, Trebek will reveal the questions he's asked most by fans, his thoughts on "Jeopardy!" champions Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer, and even Will Ferrell’s “Saturday Night Live” impersonation of him.
“Today, when there is so much uncertainty and turmoil in the world, Alex Trebek is a beacon of stability and positivity,” the publisher said in a press release. “This wise, charming and inspired book is further evidence why he has long been considered one of the most beloved and respected figures in entertainment.”
Last month, Trebek shared a health update on the one-year anniversary of his cancer diagnosis.
"My oncologist tried to cheer me up the other day ... He was certain that one year from now, the two of us would be sitting in his office celebrating my second anniversary of survival," he said in a video. "If we take it just one day at a time, with a positive attitude, anything is possible."
