Never really over? Amanda Bynes still has a lot of love for her ex-fiancé Paul Michael.
The couple called it quits three weeks after announcing their engagement on Valentine’s Day.
The former groom-to-be confirmed the breakup but added, “I love her though, she’s my best friend.”
The feeling may be mutual. While Bynes deleted most of the photos with Michael from her Instagram, she shared a new one on Monday evening with the caption, “My love 🖤," alongside a selfie of the two of them.
Sources previously revealed that Bynes was upset over the breakup and “not taking it well at all.”
It appears Bynes’ conservatorship played a part in the couple’s split.
“Paul realized the relationship just couldn’t go forward because of the obstacles of the conservatorship and Amanda must live at a sober living facility,” a source told US Weekly.
In February, Bynes introduced her fans to Michael while making amends for calling a slew of celebrities ugly in the past.
“Hey everyone, this is Paul my fiancé,” the “What a Girl Wants” star said in a since-deleted post.
“I’m so lucky, as you can see he’s drop-dead gorgeous,” Bynes continued as she cuddled up to him, adding, “He’s also the best person on the face of the earth.”
The “Hairspray” star also addressed her conservatorship in a now-deleted video stating, “Today I want to talk about a controversial topic, my conservatorship case. I have been going to a treatment center that charges $5,200 a month. There’s no reason why I shouldn’t go to a therapist who takes my insurance for $5,000 less a month. This is why I’ve asked to see the judge next week regarding this conservatorship issue,” she added.
Bynes' mother, Lynn, has been her conservator since 2014 following several tumultuous years that found the star struggling with addiction and depression and going in and out of mental health facilities.
