Cardi B, Ariana Grande, and Meghan Markle are just a few of the 25 Most Influential People on the Internet, according to Time.
For the fifth year in a row, the magazine evaluated celebrities, politicians and other influencers who best use “their global impact on social media and their overall ability to drive news.”
While the list is unranked, here are a few standouts.
It’s no surprise that Ariana Grande made the list as she’s the most followed musician on Instagram, which no doubt played a part in helping her notch the top 3 spots on the Billboard 100 chart earlier this year. Thank u, next!
Fellow singer and 2019 breakout star, Lil Nas X has seen his fame skyrocket as his hit single “Old Town Road” has spent 15 weeks at #1. Days after releasing his debut EP entitled "7," the 20-year-old made headlines by publicly coming out as gay on the last day of pride month.
The rapper said his decision was partly motivated to help “open doors for more people.” Bravo to influencers using their power for good.
While royal baby fever may have peaked with the birth of little Archie Mountbatten-Windsor in May, fans will never get enough of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Since launching their joint Instagram account in April, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have amassed over 9 million followers. Who needs the British throne when you’re already so well-liked?
Cardi B may sing about not needing anymore press, but that is all the rap sensation seems to get since exploding on the charts two years ago.
Known for always keeping it real, the Bronx native has over 47 million Instagram followers and often goes viral for everything from her confessional videos and red carpet looks to concert clips and even political diatribes. It’s Cardi’s world & we’re just livin’ in it. Okurrr!
