It was a family affair for Angelina Jolie and some of her children at the opening of “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.” The 44-year-old actress was joined by five of her six children for the premiere.
According to People, Jolie’s oldest child 18-year-old Maddox is attending college in South Korea. Her children Knox, Zahara, Pax, Vivienne and Shiloh were all smiles on the red carpet!
In a red carpet interview with Extra, Jolie said her oldest son is doing well. She told reporters that they will both meet in Japan after the premiere.
Extra reported that the star wore a black Versace dress and that “she simply dressed the theme.”
The actress also discussed recent comments she made about rediscovering herself.
“When your kids are a certain age, you go through stages, and you want to make sure they're safe and you want to make sure they understand certain values... and then you get to a place where you've done a lot of that and you feel that they're good and you also want them to know joy, and it brings back a part of you that is fun and alive and silly,” Jolie said.
She continued to say, “"And you have it in waves when they’re little, but when they’re older, they want to know you because they need to get through life and all the hardships in life, and they need how to weather those punches. And so you don’t just teach them how to survive it, you teach them how to thrive and manage it, so that takes a different level of spirit.”
“Maleficient: Mistress of Evil” will be in theaters on October 18.
