Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made sure to send their wishes for the new year on Instagram.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared an adorable picture of baby Archie, being held by his father. In the photo, which was captured in Canada where the royals celebrated Christmas, Archie is wearing a winter hat, a coat and boots.
According to BAZAAR.com, a sourced confirmed that the boots were a gift to the royals when they first shared that Markle was pregnant. Back in October of 2018, both Markle and Prince Harry traveled to Australia, Fiji, New Zealand and the Kingdom of Tonga for a tour.
During their appearance in Sydney, the couple received a pair of tiny UGG boots for their son by Sir Peter Cosgrove and his wife of Australia.
Archie's hat was also a gift from the tour and was made by a women's group in New Zealand called Make Give Love.
For Christmas, the Duke and Duchess celebrated the holiday in a $14.1 million waterfront owned by an unknown multi-millionaire, Daily Mail reported. Both Harry and Meghan spent time with the Duchess of Sussex’s mother Doria Ragland.
Justin Trudeau, prime minister of Canada, confirmed to multiple outlets that the royal couple was staying in the eight-bedroom estate on Vancouver Island. Locals in the area also noticed that cameras and fences filled the property as the mansion was swarmed with security guards.
When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s security team attempted to make a holiday reservation at the Deep Cove Chalet in Canada, they were rejected over “security concerns.”
The royal couple decided to forego the traditional Christmas at Sandringham for a vacation on the Vancouver Island with their 7-month-old son, Archie, and Markle’s mother.
