Ben Affleck is gushing all over his ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez.

After speaking candidly in a New York Times article where he called his divorce to Jennifer Garner the “biggest regret of his life,” Affleck also opened up about his feelings on J.Lo and disclosed they still stay in touch.

"She should have been nominated,” the 47-year-old said of Lopez’s performance in “Hustlers,” which was snubbed by the Oscars. “She’s the real thing.”

He kept singing the praises of his “Gigli” co-star and revealed they maintain communication even after all these years.

“I keep in touch periodically with her and have a lot of respect for her,” he added. “How awesome is it that she had her biggest hit movie at 50? That's [expletive] baller."

While Affleck's adulation for Lopez didn’t make it into the final New York Times piece, the writer of the interview, Brooks Barnes, shared the quotes in a series of tweets.

Back in December, Lopez reminisced about her high-profile relationship with the "Armageddon" star during the infamous “Bennifer” era.

“Ben wanted to be — believe it or not — quiet and not be in the tabloids,” she confessed. “And it was the beginning of the tabloid era, and we were kinda out there. I remember stacks of magazines and we were on it every week. It was scary. It was overwhelming for both of us.”

Affleck and Lopez began dating in 2002 and were quickly engaged. Four days before they were scheduled to walk down the aisle in 2003, the pair cancelled the ceremony. They eventually split for good in 2004.

The “Waiting for Tonight” hitmaker would go on to marry singer Marc Anthony and is now engaged to former Yankee Alex Rodriguez.

Affleck wed Garner in 2005, before splitting in 2015. They finalized their divorce in 2018.

In addition to his kind words for Lopez, Affleck had a endearing message for Garner that didn't appear in the article, which NYT writer Barnes also shared.

“The first and main thing that I have to say to Jennifer Garner in public or in private is thank you,” said “The Way Back” actor. “ I want to be really clear about how much I respect her and how much I value the fact that she works with me in co-parenting."

Affleck is a master of staying in good graces with his exes.
