Hollywood’s beloved couple is offering a helping hand to those in need during the coronavirus pandemic.

As food and other necessities fly off of supermarket shelves across the globe, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively announced that they are donating $1 million to two organizations: Feeding America and Food Banks Canada.

The money will be split between the organizations which operate food banks in the US and Canada and help older adults and low income families.

The couple took to Instagram to explain that the groups have been “brutally impacted” by coronavirus.

Lively added: "Remember the love that can travel through all this. Communities are stepping up -- shopping for the elderly, making lunches for children. We can all do something for one another, even if that's simply staying home."

"Take care of your bodies and hearts," Reynolds' statement said. "Leave room for joy. Call someone who's isolated and might need connection."

Despite the serious nature of the situation, the funny-man followed up with a clever joke that played off of his long-running and witty social media feud with fellow actor, Hugh Jackman.

"Hugh Jackman's # is 1-555-[single tear emoji]-Hugh," the “Deadpool” actor wrote pretending to publicly share Jackman’s phone number.

Lively didn’t miss a beat either writing, "Now can someone please tell Ryan that 'emotional distancing' from his mother in law is not a thing. Nothing can save him."

Reynolds topped off his message with an honest plea: “I think we can all agree, Covid-19 is an a–hole. If you can help, visit, http://FeedingAmerica.org and/or http://FoodBanksCanada.ca.”

Dan Nisbet, vice president of Major Gifts at Feeding America, told Variety how grateful he was for the couple’s extremely generous donation and all donations pouring in during this trying time.
