Famous celebrities are showing off the way they are protecting themselves against the global outbreak. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned Americans to prepare for a “significant disruption” from the virus, reported Good Morning America.
Celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson and Dan Levy all showed off their face masks on social media while traveling.
Paltrow captioned her photo, “En route to Paris. Paranoid? Prudent? Panicked? Placid? Pandemic? Propaganda? Paltrow’s just going to go ahead and sleep with this thing on the plane. I’ve already been in this movie. Stay safe. Don’t shake hands. Wash hands frequently. 😷.”
Many fans commented on Hudson’s post questioning whether or not these masks are effective. She captioned her photo, “Travel. 2020. #😳.”
Since the news broke out about the coronavirus, "Schitts Creek" actor Dan Levy has been seen multiple times sporting his face mask.
President Donald Trump hosted a press conference on Tuesday where Dr. Nancy Messonnier, the director of the CDC spoke. Dr. Messonnier said, “Ultimately, we expect we will see community spread in this country."
Since this virus has spread, the demand of face masks has gone up. Amazon users have noticed a significantly huge spike in masks due to a lot of people buying them for protection.
The hygienic masks, which are designed to stop the spread of illnesses like the coronavirus, have gone up in price since the CDC said that the respiratory disease could pose a serious threat to the U.S.
In an effort to increase the effectiveness of the masks, the CDC has additionally provided an infographic to consumers, outlining which forms of facial hair are most and least conducive to effective mask-wearing.
