Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Adopt Puppy With Ellen's Help

Leave it up to Ellen DeGeneres to make anyone's day, including Chrissy Teigen and John Legend. This will fur-ever warm your heart!

The couple just welcomed another family member to their household. Teigen wrote on Instagram, "welcome to the family, petey! thank you @theellenshow and @wagmorpets for making us aware of this adorable little rescue family. this little guy grabbed our heart first and will hold onto it forever!"

She shared the adorable video of the puppy on their living room couch.

According to People, the Legend family was able to adopt the pup with the help of Ellen DeGeneres. She recently mentioned a “dire situation” that was happening at The Wagmore Pet Hotel & Spa.

The organization said it had rescued a family of eight puppies with their parents and were in dire need of funds and families that would adopt them.

Teigen shared that the new dog is "a standard poodle." She posted an adorable video of her daughter Luna. In the clip you can hear her saying, "John, would you like to hold her?" Legend instantly responds, "I'm not John. I'm your dad."

The mother also shared a sweet photo of her husband and their three-year-old daughter Luna with Petey. Welcome to the family Petey!

On Sunday night, Ellen was honored at the 2020 Golden Globes.

Degeneres received the Carol Burnett Award, a lifetime achievement accolade presented to her by "SNL" cast member Kate McKinnon.

In an emotional tribute speech, McKinnon, who has been openly gay for years, talked about the boundaries Ellen broke through for LGBTQ community when she publicly came out in 1997, and the perssonal impact it had on her.

During her acceptance speech, Ellen reflected on her career and the several years it took to find her new place in the entertainment industry.

“I had a sitcom, and I lost that sitcom. Then I had another sitcom, and I lost that sitcom, too," DeGeneres said. "I got to do something I always wanted to do: Make whiskey. Then I got a talk show ... and I was able to be myself."
