Chrissy Teigen’s hot cocoa recipe is magically delicious.
While the 34-year-old regularly posts her culinary talents on social media, her latest warm chocolatey concoction has given fans a sweet dose of nostalgia as it invokes memories of beloved childhood cereal Lucky Charms.
Teigen first shared a clip preparing her three-year-old daughter, Luna, a simmering pot of hot cocoa on the stove and included the caption, “Wild night over here.”
She quickly followed it up by revealing her special ingredient, a package of small colorful dehydrated marshmallows which look remarkably similar to the green clovers, pink hearts, blue moons and yellow stars found in the popular General Mills cereal.
While hers have no affiliation with Lucky Charms, Teigen disclosed she purchased the Medley Farms Cereal Marshmallows from Amazon. Fans can snatch a one-pound bag of the sugary goodness for $10.99.
And if you’re wondering how they taste, Teigen finished off the cooking hack by sharing a pic of her mug of cocoa full of of the little marshmallows before divulging her verdict.
“It’s so good,” she commented. “Never using real marshmallows again.”
Fans were quick to respond by celebrating the mind-blowing cocoa upgrade.
Acknowledging the retro vibe, one fan wrote: “This is what I’ve been dreaming of since childhood!”
Another questioned if something this good is actually illicit by humorously adding: “Is... Is this even legal?”
While a third gave it a seasonal spin with the comment: “A Christmas miracle.”
But since there always has to be at least one Grinch, a follower questioned the marshmallows’ consistency and wrote: “I am sure they are as hard as gravel. Also my teeth hurt just looking at that.” Bah humbug, dude!
Hey, if it’s tasty enough for Chrissy, then you know it has to be magically delicious.
