More information has been disclosed about Dustin Diamond’s ongoing cancer battle.
While it was previously revealed the 44-year-old was battling cancer, his manager, Roger Paul, has now announced it is stage 4 small cell carcinoma, the outlet noted.
A second round of chemotherapy is being scheduled and Diamond will soon begin physical therapy, his manager said.
"Dustin is looking forward to spending more time with his girlfriend, playing his bass guitar/video games, as well as making videos for his fans on social media," Paul shared with NBC News.
Last week, Diamond’s team released a health update on the actor’s Facebook page.
"At this time we can confirm that Dustin does have cancer," read the statement. "Dustin will disclose more information once it is available and a plan moving forward is made."
The actor rose to fame playing the nerdy sidekick Screech during the original run of “Saved by the Bell” from 1989 - 1993 and its spinoff, “Saved by the Bell: The College Years.”
Since his cancer diagnosis, some of Diamond’s former co-stars have reached out to send him well wishes.
"I connected with Dustin earlier this evening and although the news of his diagnosis is heartbreaking, we remain positive that he'll overcome this. Praying for him & his family and for a speedy recovery," wrote Mario Lopez, who played A.C. Slater on the series, alongside a throwback image of the pair.
While Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, who portrayed Kelly Kapowski, shared a photo of Diamond to her Instagram Story with the caption, "Thinking of you, Dustin," reported Us Weekly.
Diamond is one of the few stars of the original “Saved by the Bell” to not appear in the recent Peacock revival.
