After revealing that he was going into a “big” surgery the other day, Gaten Matarazzo is checking back to let fans know that all is well.

On Friday, the “Stranger Things” star took to Instagram to reveal that the procedure he had announced was happening went as well as it could have, and he’s now on the mend. “Surgery number 4! This is a big one!” Matarazzo shared in the first post.

Matarazzo then took to the ‘gram with a second post, saying, “Though my expression in this picture may not show it, the surgery was a complete success.” He goes on to share the details about his rare bone disorder, called Cleidocranial Dysplasia.

“This was such a big one, it may be the last one I need. Hopefully at least,” Matarazzo continued in his caption. “I was under for four hours. My recovery for the past few days has been great and I can’t thank the team that did the surgery enough.”

“Thank you all for your kind wishes and prayers. It means a lot,” he concluded.

Matarazzo previously revealed to People that while his case of CCD is “very mild,” it has affected his ability to land roles. “It’s one of the reasons why I haven’t been getting roles, because of my lisp, and the teeth situation, and my height,” he revealed during an appearance on "The Doctors."

Matarazzo has been using his platform to spread awareness about his condition.
