Heidi Klum is being extra cautious as the coronavirus pandemic continues to grow globally.
Klum and her husband Tom Kaulitz are “staying apart” until they get their coronavirus test results. The “America’s Got Talent” star posted a video to Instagram.
She captioned the post, “Like many of you, I also have been sick all week and, unfortunately, my husband who returned from his tour a couple of days ago is also feeling ill,” Klum said. “To be safe, we are staying apart until we get the results of our Coronavirus tests (that we were finally able to get today) back.”
The German star posted a clip of her and her husband kissing through a glass window as they both practice social distancing.
“We don’t want to spread germs and risk others getting sicker… even each other!” Klum said. “As much as I want to embrace him and kiss him, it is more important to do the right thing and not spread further.”
She continued to urge people to make sure they know that social distancing is the smartest thing to do. "We are all in this together and it is up to us to protect our loved ones, and our neighbors and our communities,” Klum said.
Last week, Klum felt under the weather and was forced to leave a taping of her television series “America’s Got Talent.”
"Hi, everyone, I just wanted you to know why I have not been sitting in my 'America's Got Talent' seat," Klum said while laying in bed in a clip posted to her Instagram Stories. "It started all with like a chill, feeling feverish, cough, runny nose.”
Due to her symptoms, Klum took the precaution to self-quarantine from her co-workers and tried unsuccessfully to get a coronavirus test on two separate occasions.
No word yet on whether or not Klum took a test.
