Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria are expecting a baby.
Hilaria announced her pregnancy in an Instagram post on Monday, four months after revealing she suffered a miscarriage, her second in a seven-month span, reports People.
“Sound up … I’ll let the baby do the talking because I don’t have the words to express how this sound makes us feel,” the 36-year-old fitness instructor captioned a video of her bare belly in which the baby’s heartbeat could be heard.
“Just got the great news that all is well and all is healthy with this little munchkin. I wanted to share this with you🤍 Here we go again 💫,” she continued.
The happy news comes after a difficult year for the family in 2019. Last April, Hilaria suffered a miscarriage, followed by another in November when she was four months along in the pregnancy.
“We are very sad to share that today we learned that our baby passed away at 4 months. We also want you to know that even though we are not ok right now, we will be,” she captioned a video of herself with 6-year-old daughter Carmen.
“We are so lucky with our 4 healthy babies — and we will never lose sight of this. I told Carmen and took this so I could send it to Alec. I guess this is a good way to share it with you too,” she continued the caption.
Earlier this year, Hilaria opened up about coping with the tragic moments, sharing her experiences of grieving in a candid essay for “Glamour” in January, and revealing in February that she goes to therapy “pretty much every week” in the wake of her second pregnancy loss.
Speaking to People, she opened up about her family’s experience living through coronavirus, telling the outlet that her 6-year-old daughter Carmen helped her and her “30 Rock” actor husband see the disruption of social distancing in a more positive light.
“Alec and I were complaining about it a week or so ago and Carmen was asking about it and I said, ‘Carmen, nobody wants to be doing this right now. It’s frustrating for us all to have to stop our normal lives,’” Hilaria said. “And she’s like, ‘I don’t know what you guys are talking about, I love this. I love spending time with you. All I want to do is spend time with Mommy and Daddy and my brothers.’”
“And it kind of stopped us in our tracks and our mouths were open and we were like, ‘Okay, let’s go with that mentality, because that sounds so much better than complaining, which is what we’ve been doing!’” she added.
