TODAY fans, rejoice! Hoda Kotb has announced her return to the show after being on maternity leave.
Kotb took to Instagram with a video of herself announcing her post-Labor Day return. She also revealed that she’s had the “best summer” of her life hanging out with her kids. She'll be back on the show starting September 3rd.
“I’m not going to lie, this probably has been the best summer of my entire life with these two kids. I’ve loved every second of it,” she announced.
“But you know what else I’m going to love? Coming back to you guys,” she continued.
Kotb went on leave in April following the birth of her adopted child, Hope Catherine. Hope is her second child along with 2-year-old Haley Joy. Fans were speculating for a while that Kotb might not actually return at all.
Her Instagram showed her having a lot of fun hanging out with the family this summer between beach trips and birthday celebrations.
Kotb’s cohost, Savannah Guthrie, is overjoyed with the news, sharing on Twitter her excitement at having her friend back in the office.
