Some day your dream job will come, Disney fanatics!
And that day is today as a website is launching a contest that will pay one lucky winner $1000 to watch 12 of the Mouse House’s classic animated films and review them against their live-action remakes.
The promotion is being run by credit card rewards website UpGradePoints.com and requires viewing all films within one month. Doing the math, it averages to about $42 per movie.
The 24 movies included are “101 Dalmations,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Sleeping Beauty” (and it’s remake “Maleficent”), “Cinderella,” “The Jungle Book,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” ( and “Christopher Robin”), "Dumbo,” “Aladdin,” “The Lion King,” “Lady and the Tramp” and “Mulan.”
In addition to one grand, you will get a $100 gift card to use to purchase tickets for the upcoming live-action version of “Mulan,”which hits theaters on March 27th, and for a one-month Disney Plus subscription to binge watch the other 23 features.
Besides watching the movies, the selected applicant will need to take notes and look for similar trends found in the animated original and the modern remake.
Enthusiasm is also key in scoring the gig as Interested individuals need to express why they are the perfect candidate for the job, as well as, why they love Disney as much as they do.
Applications are due by March 20th and a winner will be announced on March 25th.
Once the Disney movie aficionado is chosen, they have until April 30th to watch the 24 films and submit their notes. The winner’s feedback will be incorporated into an article that will be published on UpGradePoints.com website.
