Jane Lynch paid tribute to “Glee” co-star Naya Rivera, one month after her untimely death at the age of 33.
During an appearance on “Today,” Lynch discussed the devastating loss after Rivera drowned while on a boat trip with her four-year-old son, Josey.
“She was a force of nature, and it's just gut-wrenching and heartbreaking that she's gone," Lynch told host Jenna Bush Heger.
Lynch, who played gym teacher Sue Sylvester on the Fox series, praised Rivera’s portrayal of cheerleader Santana Lopez on the show.
"I think that one of the things that kind of got lost when we were doing the show was what a force she was because there were so many talented people," Lynch added. "She was one of those people. She wasn’t in every scene, but when she was she just blew everybody away."
"I had three-page monologues, so did she," she continued. "It took me a week to get mine, she would do them right off the bat. And they would be changing them and she had no problem with it."
While other cast members have also paid homage to Rivera, her ex-husband recently spoke out about her tragic death.
Ryan Dorsey posted a heartfelt tribute to the “Glee” star that reads, “This is so unfair...there’s not enough words to express the hole left in everyone’s hearts.”
“Life just isn't fair,” Dorsey added. “I can’t believe this is life now. I don’t know if I’ll ever believe it.”
While Dorsey is now caring for Josey full time, Rivera’s sister, Nickay, is also reportedly spending a lot of time with her nephew.
"Ryan’s whole world is Josey right now,” a source told “Entertainment Tonight.” "Ryan is still grieving and is very much struggling with the loss of Naya, but he stays strong and keeps going for the sake of his son.”
