Jennifer Aniston continues to bring people joy even when she’s stuck in quarantine.
The actress gave one coronavirus frontline worker the surprise of a lifetime when she made a special appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live From His House.”
She joined the show to surprise Kimball Fairbanks, a nurse from Utah who contracted the novel virus.
Kimmel welcomed the nurse to his show via live video chat and asked her about her experience with coronavirus.
The mother of two said she began feeling ill shortly after working a shift at the hospital last week. While it’s impossible to say where she contracted the virus, she described the feeling as getting hit by a train.
"But I think I just have really mild symptoms. I feel like I have a head cold combined with the flu. It feels decently manageable so that's good,” she added.
Aniston then joined the live chat via a video from home.
"Hi, honey, it's so good to meet you," Aniston said as shock and excitement spread across Fairbanks’ face.
Aniston thanked Fairbanks for her selflessness and sacrifice stating, "I just have to say, God bless you and all of you that are out there doing what you're doing. I just, I don't even know how to express my gratitude to everything that you guys are doing, putting your health at risk and all of that. You're just phenomenal."
"Wow it's so good to meet you," Kimball responded thanking Aniston for the kind words.
When Aniston asked her how she was feeling, she remained optimistic explaining, "I woke up today and decided I'm not going to be sick any longer.”
Fairbanks revealed she will be furloughed from work and spending time in quarantine away from her family, including two daughters that are 4-years-old and 18-months-old, for the next two weeks.
Kimmel and Aniston had another surprise for Fairbanks to help her out with the cost of food delivery.
“You're going to be getting $10,000 gift certificate from Postmates," Aniston exclaimed.
Postmates also gifted all the nurses on Fairbanks’ floor with their own gift cards as a token of appreciation, which Kimmel said they can use whenever they catch a break.
Aniston knows a thing or two about being stuck inside as she says she hasn’t left her home in “three weeks.”
She revealed her new favorite activity is washing the dishes because “not only are you doing your dishes but you're washing your hands," she hilariously revealed.
