She may sing “Ain’t Your Mama,” but Jennifer Lopez sure does love being one.
The pop diva has revealed she hasn’t ruled out having more children with fiancé Alex Rodriguez, according to People.
While Lopez is mother to Max and Emme, her 11-year-old twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and A-Rod has two daughters from his previous marriage, the 50-year-old didn’t hold back when asked if she’s considering adding to their blended families.
“I want to!” she said. “I don’t know that it’s in God’s plan but I would like to try. I’m so open to it!”
Motherhood definitely agrees with the ageless actress/singer/dancer/businesswoman, who says being a parent is her “no.1 job” and credits her kids with changing her life in profound ways.
“They made my life so much better [and] them being born led me in a different direction. I was being careless with myself, and my heart,” she confessed.
“The kids kind of snapped me right [out] of it because I felt so much responsibility and love for them. Love first and responsibility second. I just knew I had to be better.”
And while she didn’t elaborate if the couple is actively trying to expand their brood, Lopez previously disclosed both her twins and A-Rod’s daughters would welcome having a new sibling.
“I think they would love to have a brother or sister… They love having [Alex’s daughters] Natasha and Ella in their lives and having two extra bonus sisters,” the “On the Floor” singer told “Extra” in September. “We really form a beautiful blended family and I think they would all be thrilled.”
Perhaps the hardest part of adding a new family member would be finding the time.
Lopez is the midst of an extremely busy year coming off the blockbuster success of “Hustlers,” which has already landed her an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Her name is rumored to be incontention when Golden Globe, SAG and Academy Award nominations are announced in the coming weeks.
She’s also hosting “SNL” this week, currently filming her latest film “Marry Me,” preparing for her highly-anticipated Super Bowl Halftime Show performance in February and planning a high-profile wedding.
A mere mortal would be overwhelmed by all those commitments, but for Jennifer Lopez that’s just Thursday.
