John Travolta and Kelly Preston are honoring their late son Jett with throwback photos of the family.
The “Grease” star and his wife shared photos on Instagram in memory of Jett for what would have been his 28th birthday. People reported that the late 28-year-old died in the Bahamas while on vacation with his family. The then 16-year-old hit his head on a bathtub after suffering a seizure at his family’s vacation home.
“Happy Birthday Jetty! We love you!❤️,” Travolta wrote in the caption. The picture included a black and white snapshot of Travolta and his son smiling at each other.
Preston, Travolta’s wife, also shared a photo of herself and Jett. The caption read, “Happy Birthday to our sweetest Jetty, we love you!!”
Jett's sister Ella, who is 20, shared a heartwarming tribute for her older brother. She posted a family photo on Instagram. She captioned the post, “Happy Birthday to my brother Jett, I love you so much ❤️❤️❤️.”
Jett's birthday comes on the heels of Travolta's change of home. Travolta recently made a profit by selling his longtime home. Their estate can be found in the prestigious Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood and went for $18 million.
The new owner, record executive Scooter Braun, just so happens to be Travolta’s next-door neighbor. Records obtained by the L.A. Times show that Travolta bought the estate back in 1997 for about $3.5 million. The Spanish-style mansion is 9,100 square feet with 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. It has a guardhouse with two garages and other structures on the facility.
