At least it wasn’t a Post-it!
Pam Anderson’s brief marriage to Jon Peters ended over text message, according to Us Weekly.
The pair, who tied the knot in a secret ceremony on Jan. 20 and announced their split on February 1st, were only together around five days before the movie producer had second thoughts and called off the marriage using his smartphone.
Despite allegedly calling their whirlwind affair a “beautiful amazing love fest," the 74-year-old admitted “this whole marriage thing… scared me.”
“It made me realize that at 74 I need a simple quiet life and not an international love affair,” Peters text continued, reported the outlet. “Therefore, I think the best thing we can do is that I’m going to go away for a couple of days and maybe you need to go back up to Canada we did it. The world knows we did it and I think now we need to go our own separate ways. I hope that you can forgive me.”
And although he didn’t want to be husband and wife, the “A Star Is Born” producer admitted he still has feelings for the “Baywatch” actress.
He added: “I love you, Jon. I want to be in your life forever.”
Anderson apparently took the rejection quite well and allegedly texted back, “I forgive you” and added the face-throwing-a-kiss emoji.
The 52-year-old further elaborated and had nothing but nice things to say about her fourth husband.
“Jon and I have been friends for a very long time. He has been nothing but nice to me and, for that, I love him,” Anderson’s rep told People in a statement. “Jon opened up his heart and home to me, has helped me through sad times, and I only have kind words to say about him. We remain friends.”
While they were together less than two weeks, it’s been reported that the couple never actually obtained a marriage certificate to legalize their union.
Anderson was previously married to musicians Tommy Lee and Kid Rock, and tied the knot with producer Rick Solomon twice.
