Santa Claus is rumored to have something big in store for Kate Middleton and Prince William.
There are rumors that the royal couple are readying to make a big announcement over the next two weeks, according to “Today.”
"We are expecting this holiday season a special surprise from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge,” said the daytime news show’s international correspondent Keir Simmons.
“We're not sure what it is. Maybe it's a new royal tour, maybe it's a baby.”
While it’s unusual for their to be major announcements from the royal family during the festive season, a recent briefing from Kensington Palace insinuated that “next year is going to be busy for the Cambridges,” reported the UK newspaper the Daily Express.
“We will be hearing about a new initiative from Prince William and some other news as well,” said royal expert Omid Scobie.
“Next year is a big one for Kate,” he added.
Although many are speculating it could be signs that a new royal baby is on the way, it’s all just hearsay at the moment.
The Duke and Duchess have three children, with their youngest, Prince Louis, arriving in April 2018.
Fans got a glimpse of the royal party of five all together when an image of their holiday card was leaked on the internet earlier this week.
With nary a Christmas tree in sight, Kate, William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and little Louis all huddled around a motorbike in the heartwarming pic.
On Wednesday, the entire family will spend Christmas Day at Sandringham Estate with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and his second wife, the Duchess of Cornwall.
It’s been reported that Prince George and Princess Charlotte will make their debut in the walk to the church during the royal family’s traditional holiday celebration.
Meanwhile, a royal spokesperson recently confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be partaking in any royal traditions and instead be spending Christmas in Canada with their son, Archie Harrison, and Markle’s mother Doria Ragland.
