Social distancing really is for the dogs.
At least it is for Kate Middleton’s younger brother, who is passing the time in isolation with adorable dinner parties for his four-legged friends.
While in self-quarantine amid the coronavirus outbreak, James Middleton proved he’s the ultimate dog dad as he shared photos of his precious pups seated around the dinner table.
In the snaps, the entire dog squad sits patiently in their own seats while adorned with napkins around their necks. The candle-lit table is laid out with a floral arrangement, place settings, silverware, glassware and dishes with a selection of dog food on it.
“Socialising while social distancing,” he captioned the post and included the wine, spaghetti and paw print emojis.
He extended the invitation to all his followers by adding: “Who wants to join? #bestdinnerpartyever.”
While Kate’s brother’s post brought much-needed levity to the coronavirus pandemic, her husband, Prince William, addressed the world health crisis with a more somber note.
"Whenever and wherever adversity strikes, the people of the UK have a unique ability to pull together," William said in an online video. "The way that local communities support those affected shows the very best of our values and human nature."
He added: “The public’s desire to help in the wake of tragedy needs to be managed and channeled in the best possible way -- which is why the establishment of the National Emergencies Trust was so important."
“I said at its launch last year that I dreaded the day when it would be needed. Sadly, with the outbreak of COVID-19, that day has come faster than any of us would have hoped.”
The National Emergencies Trust will raise money to support local charities in their initiatives to help those suffering from the coronavirus pandemic throughout the United Kingdom.
