It’s unclear if the couple will re-schedule the wedding to a later date or opt for a wedding celebration in the U.S. instead.
The cancellation news comes shortly after the 35-year-old pop star revealed her pregnancy in her new music video, “Never Worn White.”
Bloom and Perry got engaged in a helicopter on Valentine’s Day 2019.
This will be Perry’s first child with Bloom. Bloom also shares 9-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
The star is also set to release a new album this summer.
“There’s a lot that will be happening this summer. Not only will I be giving birth — literally — but also figuratively to something you guys have been waiting for,” she said in an Instagram Live announcing the release.
In February, Perry revealed she’s not overly concerned with the small details of her wedding.
“It's not about the party, it's about the coming together of people who will hold us accountable when things get really hard. Because it's really great and then it's really hard,” she explained while gracing the cover of Australian glossy Stellar Magazine in a colorful and fun ensemble.
She even said she’s the opposite of a bridezilla adding, “'I call myself a 'bridechilla' as opposed to a 'bridezilla'. Orlando and I are united with our approach.”
