Kim Kardashian Unveils Waist Trainers Line: 'They Make Me Feel Really Snatched'

Kim Kardashian is hawking a new product that is sure to sell out in a cinch.

The 38-year-old announced her SKIMS shapewear line is now offering a line of waist trainers, the high compression garments that instantly constrict your midsection, according to Page Six.

“SKIMS is launching our very own waist trainer,” Kim said in an Instagram video shot in her bathroom.

“To me they just make me feel really snatched,” the mother of four added. “I would always wear a waist trainer when I just really needed to get it together when I really want to train my waist.”

While there have been concerns about the effects of waist trainers, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star claims hers are unlike any others out there.

She continued, “And because I’ve worn them for so long, usually waist trainers are rubber-based and completely so hard to get on and, like, suffocate you. That’s not what the SKIMS waist trainer is. This one is so stretchy.”

Despite Kim’s assertions, medical experts have spoken out saying waist trainers only temporarily shrink your waistline and may even have detrimental effects on your health.

“Wearing a waist trainer will only make your body appear smaller while you wear it,” Dr. Caroline Apovian told Women’s Health.

“They can push the stomach beyond the diaphragm, causing reflux and interfering with breathing” and possibly lead to rib damage.

Regardless of the possible hazards, no doubt many will be clamoring to get their hands on Kim’s SKIMS waist trainer, which will retail for $68 once they are available on September 20th.
