Kylie Jenner Urges Fans to Quarantine After Surgeon General Requested Her Help

Kylie Jenner is doing her part to try and help slow the spread of coronavirus.

The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star took to social media to advise her fans to self-quarantine after Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams asked her and other influencers to use their platforms to get the word out on the seriousness of the pandemic.

“Hey, guys. Happy self-quarantine!,” the 22-year-old began in a series of Instagram Stories. “I know I’ve already been doing my daily reminders about how important it is right now to practice social distancing and self-quarantine. I’m going on my ninth day. The coronavirus is a real thing. I listened to the Surgeon General this morning…Even though I've already been doing my daily reminders, he definitely encouraged me to come on here and talk to you guys.”

Kylie then urged her more than 166 million followers to not go outside and elaborated that millennials are susceptible to the virus.

“Please stay inside. Practice social distancing, self-quarantine. If you live with your parents, you don’t want to go home and get your parents sick. You might have it and not even know and be infecting other people. It’s serious and the only way that we’re gonna slow this down is if we do this because there is not a cure right now, “ she added. “Nobody is immune to this, millennials are not immune to this."

Her words come after the CDC warned younger people, including spring breakers, could be at risk of getting very ill from COVID-19.

She continued: “New evidence actually shows that a large percentage of people in the hospital right now are young adults. It's hard but we have to do this for our safety and for everyone else's. PLEASE do not ignore the severity of the warnings to stay inside to stop the spread of this virus. We will all get through this!"

The beauty mogul also revealed how not leaving the house towards the end of her pregnancy to Stormi Webster helped her prepare to self-quarantine.

"It was my choice to do that, so I never let myself get bored," Kylie confessed. "I watched movies; I read books; I would do full spa days and take long baths; do masks; take care of my skin; take care of my hair."

This time around she’s also enjoying doing puzzles, binging the HBO series "Westworld" and hanging out with her mini-me.

"[I'm also] spending more time with my daughter—cooking, reading," she continued. "Being at home is fun."
