Laura Dern may have won the Oscar for best supporting actress, but she should also get an award for being the most sustainable.
While Dern rang in her big moment wearing a pink and black Armani gown, she slipped into a sleeveless column dress for the Vanity Fair Oscars Party – and it wasn’t the first time she’s worn the stunning number.
Eagle-eyed Dern superfans were able to spot the familiar gown and recognize it from various past appearances, including the 2013 Vanity Fair Oscars Party. She also sported the look at a gala honoring Whoopi Goldberg in 1995.
Not wanting to break from the evening’s color scheme, Dern paired her little black dress with a powder pink blazer for the afterparty, giving her recycled look a 2020 makeover and matching the Armani gown she sported at the start of the evening.
Dern’s Sunday night win marked her third Oscar nomination and her first win. While backstage after the ceremony, Dern marked her win with touching remarks about using the themes of “Marriage Story” to come together as people.
“The commonality of this story is about coming together for a child, but as I spoke to, we need to come together for a planet, we need to come together in this nation,” she said in an interview with RADIO.COM. “There’s a lot to learn from that magical script, you know, I’m so honored to be a part of,” she concludes.
