The Queen of England’s loss could be the Queen of Pop’s gain.
Now that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have announced they are stepping back from their royal duties in Great Britain, Madonna has offered them the use of her multimillion dollar Manhattan apartment. Like a renter!
The Material Girl proposed the real estate deal in an Instagram video which she captioned, "Do Meg[h]an and Prince Harry want to sublet my apartment on Central Park West??”
The clip begins with Madonna making her pitch for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex not to move to Canada.
"Hey, don't run off to Canada. It's so boring there!" the 61-year-old says while having her makeup done backstage before one of her Madame X concerts. "I'll let them sublet my apartment on Central Park West.”
The Upper West Side residence is located on the prestigious street, which is commonly referred to as CPW, and is reportedly worth $7.3 million.
She added: “It's two bedrooms. It's got the best view in Manhattan. Incredible balcony, that's going to be a winner, a deal breaker."
Madonna, who relocated across the pond during her eight-year marriage to director Guy Ritchie, finished off by jokingly saying, "Buckingham Palace has got nothing on CPW.”
While they’ve made no indication of moving to the Big Apple, Meghan, Harry and baby Archie have been living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia since announcing they were stepping down as senior members of the royal family.
Should they decide to seek out property in the United States, a place on the West Coast may wind up being more realistic as reports claim Meghan is looking to once-again reignite her Hollywood career.
The former “Suits” star retired from acting prior to marrying into the royal family in 2018.
