Meghan Markle is sharing her thoughts about the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in an emotional statement.
"With an incomparable and indelible legacy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg will forever be known as a woman of brilliance, a Justice of courage, and a human of deep conviction," Markle said.
"She has been a true inspiration to me since I was a girl. Honor her, remember her, act for her," the Duchess of Sussex continued.
Many others from the realms of politics to the entertainment industry took to social media with their own tributes for the late Justice, highlighting her courageous acts of feminism as well as her inspirational work in the Supreme Court.
Barbra Streisand took to Twitter with her thoughts, writing, "Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a giant of the Supreme Court. She was an inspiration to legal scholars and women."
The post was accompanied by a photo of Streisand beside Ginsburg.
Ginsburg died in her home on Friday evening surrounded by her family. She was 87 years old.
"Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died this evening surrounded by her family at her home in Washington, D.C., due to complications of metastatic pancreas cancer," Supreme Court Spokeswoman Kathy Arberg said Friday.
President Trump said in a statement to reporters, "She led an amazing life. What else can you say? She was an amazing woman, whether you agree or not. She was an amazing woman who led an amazing life. I'm actually sad to hear that."
